Autodial creates shortcuts to your Internet applications. If you start these shortcuts, your Provider is first dialed and the appropriate application then started. If you finish the application, a second countdown starts and disconnects automatically if you do not interrupt.
This works best with Netscape, because Netscape creates a primary process, from which all visible windows are derived. Only once the last Netscape window is closed, does the primary process also end and therefore the countdown started. Ihis is especially useful for downloads: You close all Netscape windows except the 'Saving Location'-window(s) and go off happily to your pub :-)
You can of course also make shortcuts for other applications. You can also launch several applications simultaneously, as soon as the last application is closed, Autodial starts the countdown (provided all applications were started with Autodial).

Update from older versions:
Autodial has changed it's commandline-parameters. If you start a older autodial-shortcut, autodial starts it's shortcut-editor. If you choose 'edit' for every older shortcut, the parameters are automatically converted to the new system. On this occasion, you can also set up the new features of autodial.
Deinstallation:
Execute the installation-file (audi20.exe) and choose 'Uninstall'.
Usage:
Make a new connection:
Start 'Autodial Configuration'. Then you'll get a list of existing autodial-shortcuts. If you click new, first you get a 'file open' dialog, there you have to input the application you want to create the shortcut for. Then you'll get the 'edit'-dialog. Normally, you don't need to change anything. For a explanation of these options, see below. Click 'Ok', and you create a new autodial-shortcut for your application.
Launch program:
Start one of the new connections. The Provider is dialed and the application started. When you close the application a dialog box displays a countdown. You can maintain the connection or immediately disconnect it. If you ignore it the connection will be closed automatically at the end of the countdown.
Command-line parameter:
Autodial without parameters start the 'edit'-dialog.
The following parameters are used:
-e: (required) Name and path of the application to start.
-c: (required) Name of the dialup-network connection, you want to use.
-t: (optional) Countdown-time.
-p: (optional) Commandline-parameter the application.
-r: (optional) Redial attempts, if 0 then no redial.
-i: (optional) Time between the redial attempts.
-u: (optional) Username.
-a: (optional) Password.
-l: (optional) 0: no protocol-file, 1: log to protocol-file.
-m: (optional) 0: show errors, 1: suppress error messages.
This starts Netscape with the user-defined connection from your dialup-network. If you close Netscape, a 10-second-countdown starts and disconnects you if you don't interrupt. This will be logged.
